Heat treatment:
Alloy 1.0580 can be heat treated to improve mechanical properties. The usual heat treatment conditions are:
Soft annealing (BK): Heating to 650 - 700 °C and subsequent slow cooling in the furnace air.
Tempering and quenching (QT): heating to 820 - 860 °C and then quenching in oil or water, followed by a tempering temperature of 550 - 650 °C.
