Alloy 1.4547: High performance austenitic stainless steel alloy

Alloy 1.4547 is a high performance austenitic stainless steel alloy used in various applications due to its excellent corrosion resistance and high strength. It is also known as UNS S31254.


Chemical composition:

Chromium: 19.5-20.5%

Molybdenum: 6-6.5%

Nickel: 17.5-18.5%

Nitrogen: 0.18-0.22%

Sulfur: 0.01% (max)

Carbon: 0.02% (max)

Phosphorus: 0.03% (max)

Silicon: 0.80% (max)


Characteristics:

Excellent corrosion resistance: 1.4547 alloy offers excellent corrosion resistance to corrosive media such as chloride ions, hydrochloric acid and sulfuric acid.

High Strength: This alloy has high strength that makes it suitable for use in demanding applications.
