Corrosion resistance: The alloy 1.4845 is characterized by high resistance to oxidizing and reducing atmospheres. It is resistant to many corrosive media such as water, steam, air and weak acids and alkalis at room temperature. However, at higher temperatures, chromium carbides can form, which can affect corrosion resistance.
