Corrosion resistance:

Good resistance to oxidizing and reducing media

High resistance to intergranular corrosion at temperatures up to 800 °C

Susceptible to pitting corrosion in chloride containing environments at higher temperatures


Heat treatment:

Solution heat treatment at 950-1050°C followed by rapid water or air quenching


Applications:

High temperature applications: furnace linings, heat exchangers, combustion chambers

Chemical industry: pipelines, tanks, fittings

Food processing: heat exchangers, piping, vessels
